As an Underwriting, Strategy and Operations Expert a considerable proportion of your responsibilities will be to proactively facilitate and implement goals of the business by providing training and guidance. Have tools & expert knowledge in Global programs, provide clarity on internal processes, procedures, and promote efficiencies. The position is also critical to the tactical / strategic planning for North America Property business unit and AXA XL overall.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Acts as a primary technical expert (subject matter expert) and serves as a resource providing expertise, training, and guidance to peers and others throughout the Insurance organization.
- Be designated as the primary Underwriting Operations contact for several global programs as assigned.
- Analyzes workflow and creates, suggests, or implements improvements in the workflow to optimize efficiencies and controls.
- Liaise with internal business units to determine downstream effects of workflows to ensure accuracy of data reporting and impact upon other business units. Must ensure workflows and processes are aligned with FIC, Internal Audit and Peer Review controls / guidelines.
- Builds or supports standardization of administration policy and best practices for consistencies across the board.
- Creates and maintains tools that assist Underwriting Operations / Shared Service staff and underwriting in performing their jobs or request enhancements to tools owned by others, to improve upon efficiencies.
- Recognizes barriers and finds the solution on how to remove the barriers or solicits advice and solutions from others to aid in the removal of the barriers.
- Monitor and analyze results of newly implemented workflows, enhanced tools, etc. to determine if intended results are being met and / or if additional training or retooling is required.
- Considered a subject matter expert and would be included in initiatives that impact systems, workflow, new product development, re-keying of existing products or initiatives related to tactical / strategic planning.
- Has a good understanding of the overall structure within AXA XL to know where to go to find answers and understand the relationships of other AXA XL support areas, i.e. Premium Accounting, MIU, Claims, Actuary, Product Development, Operations / Regulatory Reporting, etc. and how changes in front-line underwriting could potentially impact them.
- Mainly works independently with limited supervision and direction given. Immediate supervision is received from Operations Lead.

The U.S. pay range for this position is USD 85,000 - 149,000. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual's skills, experience, and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues' pay.
