Work Location: This role requires a hybrid onsite work presence at Axalta’s headquarters in Glen Mills, PA and is eligible for relocation.
The employee will be responsible for some Accounting processes and Freight Cost Accounting for the North America region.

1.2 - First/Mid Level Officials and Managers (EEO-1 Job Categories-United States of America)
The employee will be responsible for some Accounting processes and Freight Cost Accounting for the North America region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate monthly reviews with functions over the North America and Corporate cost centers to ensure the accurate costs and accruals, if needed.
- Monitor and follow up pending invoices with the corresponding resolver for the function costs.
- Prepare the necessary month-end entries for accrual, prepaid, or any other adjustments.
- Prepare explanations for activity within certain accounts for fluctuation analysis purposes, including drilling down to the cost center level.
- Coordinate and prepare insurance amortization schedules.
- Identify new and amended lease agreements for accurate and timely accounting.
- Support the internal control environment to satisfy external and internal requirements, prepare and coordinate any specific sox control assigned within the role.
- Prepare supporting schedules for auditors as requested. Coordinate Puerto Rico Audit and prepare the financial statements for it.
- Coordinate and support quarterly and annual deliverables from Corporate, such as contractual obligations, flux analysis, one-time cost schedules, and other required reports.
- Ensure that the monthly cost accrual is complete and accurate, including by business. Be able to analyze and explain the month over month flux and variances vs the monthly outlook and annual budget.
- Analyze the monthly Freight Accrual (Liability position) for accuracy while ensuring that old line items are cleared on a timely basis.
- Monitor the activity in the Transportation Management module to identify costs which are not flowing completely or flowing incorrectly i.e., Freight Orders in errors.
- Coordinate corrective actions with the Operations, Logistics and Procurement team on process errors.
- Have regular process reviews with Freight Bill Audit and Pay process service provider to identify both gaps and process improvement opportunities and coordinate action on these by either Operations, Logistics, Procurement, IT or Finance team.
- Track and resolve open items with the Freight Service providers to ensure that these are addressed promptly and correctly.
- Be the finance partner for working on improving / implementing Transportation Management and Logistics Business Network solution in SAP.
- Identify and implement efficiencies in accounting and freights processes and systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related area
- At least 5 years’ experience
- Proficient in Excel and data analysis, with experience in ERP systems, preferably SAP. Exposure to SAP S/4HANA and the Transportation Management module would be a plus.
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting and general knowledge of Financial Reporting
- Experience with process/controls documentation preferred
- Ability to work independently and interact with coworkers, senior management, auditors, etc.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities
