Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Communicate with new For Profit and Nonprofit clients, ensuring exceptional service from kickoff through onboarding.
- Guide clients through onboarding, including setup in QBO or other cloud-based software.
- Complete key daily accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including, but not limited to: AR/AP, payroll, reconciliations, and recording and classifying financial activity.
- Assess financial processes and recommend improvements and tech-forward solutions.
- Seamlessly transition clients to their dedicated team, documenting processes thoroughly and training internal team members.
- Manage workflow and timelines effectively.
- Mentor junior accountants and bookkeepers.
Who are You?
A tech-savvy accountant who loves to advise small businesses and nonprofits on their financial health and strategy.
Qualifications:
- Either 5 years of experience in small to mid-size business accounting/bookkeeping OR a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting and 3 years of related experience; multi-client experience preferred.
- You are a QuickBooks Online (QBO) whiz with experience utilizing the system within the last 5 years.
- Resourceful and able to explain complex financial concepts in a clear, approachable way.
- You love helping people and being a part of a team that supports each other
- Bonus points for:
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting for: multiple entity/company clients, nonprofit and automotive repair industry (mechanic shops, body shops, etc.)
- Experience with internal or external audits
- Xero, Sage or other accounting system experience is a plus.
- Advanced tech-savvy skills
