JOB TITLE : Electrical Engineer
Axalta has a need for a Manufacturing Site Electrical Engineer. The selected candidate will be required to perform a variety of duties such as the following :
- Maintain and provide technical support for electrical distribution systems, including AC and DC power, process, and utility equipment.
- Provide follow-up on electrical equipment and instrumentation failures, determining root cause and identifying actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and manage reliability program for electrical equipment, including specific work and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Provide hands-on assistance to electrical and instrumentation technicians with troubleshooting problems, including motor control center and variable frequency drive systems.
- Provide Electrical Safety training for technical, maintenance, and operations.
- Conduct electrical and instrumentation reviews for capital projects and Process Hazards Analyses.
- Support, develop, and implement strategies for improving instrumentation and process monitoring equipment.
- Provide support for ABB distributed control systems (DCS) and Rockwell programmable logic controller (PLC) configuration, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Evaluate existing instrumentation and utilizing engineering design processes to improve accuracy and reliability.
