Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead a crew of millwrights, pipefitters, welders, and laborers through a series of tasks to complete an industrial project
- Manage project details and report workforce time and attendance
- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Install, align, dismantle, rig and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and lifts to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Construct foundations for machinery
- Assemble machinery and equipment before installation using hand and power tools and welding
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- OSHA certified with the skills to assess, implement and train others in safety guidelines as required by OSHA, Axcess Industries and the client
Requirements
- Experience supervising members of a project team as well as managing all on-site project activities, scheduling and reporting
- Outstanding leadership and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Type: Full-time, Hourly
Compensation: $30 - $50 hourly wage (per diem, and hotel supplied if overnight travel is required)
