It's about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly changing world.Job Summary:We are searching for a skilled Industrial Electrical Foreman to join our expanding team. With experience in electrical work and industrial construction, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic construction team and make a significant impact on the clients we serve. We work across a wide range of industrial projects, and this role requires a high level of travel (approximately 75%), so a willingness to travel is essential.The Industrial Electrical Foreman will lead electrical teams in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial electrical work and the ability to collaborate closely with mechanical teams for system installations. This hands-on role requires technical expertise, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality. The foreman will ensure all electrical systems meet the highest standards while also providing support for mechanical team efforts as necessary.Key Responsibilities:Electrical System Installation and Supervision:Supervise and manage the installation of complex industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controls, PLCs, and lighting systems.Ensure electrical systems are installed in compliance with national electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime in industrial operations.Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.Mechanical Installation Assistance:Work closely with mechanical installation teams to assist in the setup and installation of mechanical systems such as compressors, pumps, conveyors, and other industrial machinery.Support the wiring, installation, and commissioning of electrical components integrated into mechanical systems.Coordinate the installation of power supplies and control wiring for mechanical systems, ensuring proper integration with electrical infrastructure.Team Leadership and Supervision:Lead, direct, and motivate a team of electricians, ensuring work is performed according to project schedules, specifications, and safety standards.Provide hands-on training and mentoring to junior technicians, promoting skill development and safety awareness.Monitor and evaluate team performance, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.Project Coordination and Communication:Collaborate with project managers to ensure electrical and mechanical work progresses as planned and integrates seamlessly into the overall project.Review project blueprints, electrical schematics, and mechanical diagrams to assess project requirements and identify any potential challenges.Assist in material management, ensuring all electrical and mechanical components are available, delivered, and properly stored for the duration of the project.Safety and Compliance:Enforce strict adherence to all OSHA safety regulations and best practices for both electrical and mechanical installations.Ensure that all team members use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures during installation and maintenance tasks.Troubleshooting and Maintenance:Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical system faults or failures, minimizing downtime and ensuring systems are restored to full operation as quickly as possible.Assist in preventative maintenance tasks on both electrical and mechanical systems, conducting regular checks and service on equipment.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school in electrical or industrial systems preferred.5 years of experience in industrial electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in an industrial setting.Valid electrical journeyman or master electrician license is a plus.Knowledge and experience with mechanical systems, including, motors, conveyors, and pumps, is highly preferred.Strong understanding of electrical codes (NEC), safety regulations (OSHA), and best practices in industrial environments.Proficient in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical diagrams.Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.Must be able to work in various environments, including confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme weather conditions.Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders for extended periods.Ability to work in noisy, fast-paced environments with various mechanical and electrical equipment in operation.
