Location : 100% Remote in MO, CA, TX, FL States Only
SHIFT : Mon - Fri 8am - 6PM
- State pharmacy technician license(s) relative to where the employee and assigned pharmacy are located License is required upon hire.
Position Purpose :
Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner
Must haves : at least 2 years of retail / hospital experience. Good communication skills
Nice to haves : more than 2 years
Disqualifiers : strictly working in prior authorization
Performance indicators : 9 referrals per hour
Job Description : The Pharmacy Technician Fulfillment provides assistance in the preparation and distribution of drug products. The Technician is responsible for preparing the prescription medications via use of the fulfillment system. Job Responsibilities : Process prescription exceptions which may include : resolving claim rejects and member and physician outreach. Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system. Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and / or escalated member issues. Escalate questions regarding prescription to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing. Assist with inbound and / or outbound patient or physician calls. Other duties as assigned. Skills : Education / Experience : High School diploma. 2-4 years of Pharmacy Technician experience. Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by state of operation. Basic computer skills.
Education / Experience : High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e. biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization / certification) experience. Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic / debilitating illnesses.
