Job Description:
As a Field Engineer 3, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, maintaining, and servicing computer-related products, including desktop and laptop computers, printers, and standard software at customer sites and/or depot locations. This is a journeyman position for the typical desk-side support technician.
You will receive direction from Help Desk, Service Desk, or script using standard methods, techniques, and tools. You will also apply your personal knowledge to resolve product support issues that could not be addressed by the service desk.
Your assignments will range in complexity, from troubleshooting and repair to more difficult device repair, including reloading and re-imaging of PCs/laptops, and installing and optimizing hardware and software products.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support for software and hardware for desktops and laptops.
- Maintain and support legacy products.
- Install and maintain PCs and associated software and peripherals.
- Perform installs, moves, adds, and changes as required.
- Test and certify PCs and client-approved applications.
- Follow up on problems or escalations.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor, and dress.
- Earn C-Level support when necessary.
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery transaction.
- Meet client-specific Service Level Agreements and update incident and request tickets accordingly within the ticketing system.
- May be required to assist with server or network device support under guidance.
Certification is not required for this position.
