• Our team is mostly PST so the hours would be closer to that but we can be flexible if shifted an hour or two, will need to be discussed but most meetings are PST.Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Lead UX Writer, take ownership of writing projects fromideation, planning, and launch through testing and implementation, alwaysaligning with our evolving editorial and style guidelines.Partner closely with interaction design teams as they create visual comps andother deliverables. Review creative with an eye toward effective expression andcommunication.Thoroughly and accurately digest UX wireframes, user flows, etc., translate theminto deliverables, and help manage documentation for "living" copy.Manage copy assets, update and admin multiple copy databases intersectingwith design, development, engineering, and product teams.Be willing to receive critical feedback from team leadership, designers,researchers, and engineers, and other stakeholders then evaluate andrecommend copy refinements to help resolve issues.Be proficient working within an Agile development process that involves hardregular deadlines, rapid testing, and constant iteration. Be able to conceive,create and revise messaging solutions until the problems are solved.Always be where you need to be, do what you need to be doing, and takeresponsibility for your work.Be willing to learn what you don't know, and further develop what you do.Qualifications3-5 years experience in UX product writing, and content strategy for userexperiences across multiple platforms; mobile, web, and device. OR 5-6 yearsexperience in short-form headline, social, and brand advertising writing with adenoted passion to learn UX and write for product.Demonstrated experience working within an Agile environment, including sprintscheduling, constant iteration, writing for UI and UX with an ability to delineatethe difference.Current portfolio and work samples requiredDeep understanding of current and future digital trends across all platforms,including entertainment devices.Aptitude for understanding technical subject matter; ability to quickly grasp coreideas of varied and complex topics requiredEntertainment industry experience strongly preferred plusAdvanced interpersonal skills essentialBachelors degree in English, Communications, or equivalent experienceSoftware proficiency : o Sketch, Zeplin, Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, PowerPoint / Keynote, Jira,Confluence, Notion, AsanaPlease include in cover letterBriefly explain the difference between writing as a process and copy as anoutcomeContrast the similarities and differences between marketing / advertising and UXwritingYour specific interest in writing for DirecTV and how we differ from otheropportunities in the UX space
