OB/GYN Ultrasound Tech. - Per Diem

We have an opening for a Per-Diem Ultrasound Tech. at Cherry Hill OB/GYN, with practice locations in Mount Laurel, Turnersville, and Hammonton, NJ.

The Ultrasound Tech. will participate in providing patient-specific care standards as directed and follows service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

• Reviewing any prior images and imaging reports prior to ultrasound exam.
• Performing ultrasounds, ensuring the transducer (probe) is correctly capturing images.
• Explaining the ultrasound procedure to patients to avoid confusion.
• Maintaining ultrasound equipment and sterilizing room between ultrasound patients.
• Evaluating images for quality and interpreting images captured.
• Presenting images and preliminary findings to physicians and healthcare team.
• Maintaining patient records, adding medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
• Utilizing PACs, EMR, and other systems related to imaging.
• Maintaining certifications by completing any assigned compliance and continuing education requirements.
• Training other Ultrasound Technicians as needed.

Qualities & Skills:

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to travel to satellite locations.

Education & Experience:

• Degree or Certificate from an accredited ultrasound program.
• Current ARDMS RDMS certification in Ob/Gyn required.
• ARDMS certification in Breast (BR) and Abdomen (AB) desirable but not required.
• Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification through FMF or NTQR desirable but not required.
• At least 2 years’ recent experience performing obstetrical scanning required.
• CPR certification a plus.
• eClinicalWorks (EMR) experience beneficial.
• Knowledge of lab specific order sets and CPT coding beneficial.

Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
