Sandblaster

Overview
We are seeking a Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting or finishing by using various sandblasting techniques. This role requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of materials and processes involved in surface preparation. The Sandblaster will work closely with other team members to ensure high-quality finishes on various projects.

Duties

• Operate sandblasting equipment to clean, smooth, or shape surfaces as required.
• Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, or other contaminants using appropriate techniques.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals to achieve desired results.
• Interpret schematics and project specifications to determine appropriate blasting methods.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
• Assist in fixture installation and masonry tasks as needed.

Skills

• Proficiency in sandblasting techniques and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with color theory and its application in commercial painting.
• Experience in airless paint spraying and construction painting is a plus.
• Strong ability to maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Knowledge of building processes, including fixture installation and masonry skills.
• Capability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

• Oak Grove, MO 64075 (Required)
