Axient LLC is seeking an experienced Safety Inspector to support the Pad Safety inspection program at Cape Canaveral Space Force Base. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of explosives safety standards and protocols, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in explosives (military or government).
Key responsibilities include performing explosive spot inspections and annual explosive safety inspections, conducting pre-operational checks, and providing follow-up inspections within thirty days to ensure corrective action has been taken. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for documenting findings and discrepancies in accordance with AFI 91-202 and SLD 45/SEW database.
To succeed in this role, applicants must possess a high school diploma, be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance, and maintain the required clearance. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree, active or current DoD security clearance, EOD experience, and knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
