Job Summary

Director, Information Technology (IT) will be responsible for managing Axillon Aerospace business system processes and large-scale information technology operations. As the information system leader, this person will provide vision of how technology and IT infrastructure is applied within the business units to ensure that operating performance meets business goals and aligns with the strategic plan for growth. These areas include operating systems, voice and data communications, transaction processing and database administration, the information center, personal computers, electronic and optical storage, and multimedia applications and security systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead authority on company-wide IT operations
• Develop and implement a right sized IT strategy.
• Implement new technologies and IT infrastructure (data centers, networks, hardware, etc.).Transition all IT systems, applications, and resources from the parent organization.
• Directs the scheduling and computer operations of all production activities associated with computer data processing, establishes and enforces standards for controlling work flow and the integrity of data through the production process, and for ensuring the quality of IT support and the security of material, equipment, files and personnel within the Information Technology scope of influence.
• Maintains the reliability of all systems in Information Technology including maintaining network and telecommunications reliability, meeting response time (on-line) service levels, and overseeing and assisting in the development of a disaster recovery plan.\
• Supervises and monitors the performance of IT systems to insure the accurate and timely completion of Information Technology work.
• Maintains new software/hardware policies or procedures recommended or required by the information function of the enterprise.
• Establishes, documents, implements and monitors the Information Systems (IS) Security Program, related procedures for the facility, and ensures facility compliance with requirements for IS.
• Ensures computer systems meet NISPOM and CMMC standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from four year university or equivalent; at least 10-15 years managing IT operations, security or business systems operations.

• Must have CMMC experience
• Tenured Aerospace & Defense industry background preferred
• Aerospace materials and/or engines experience preferred
• Private equity experience preferred
• PE or other realization exit experience preferred
• Experience with development and implementation to right-size IT strategy
• Deep knowledge of technologies and IT infrastructure (data centers, networks, hardware, etc.) required
• Experience standing up a carved out organization – transition all IT systems, applications, and resources from the parent organization
• Experience with robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Experience with ERP implementation
• Experience with establish security frameworks and compliance protocols (GDPR, SOC 2, etc.)
• Experience with data analytics and AI manufacturing innovation
• Experience building and developing high performing teams
• Experience with cross-collaboration with key functions like HR and Finance

Computer Skills:

PC knowledge, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, SQL Queries, Active Directory, Group Policy, VMWare, Hardware configuration

Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment:

Position involves sitting, standing and/or walking. Position requires ability to frequently exert up to 10 pounds of force to move objects and occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to move objects.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Work usually performed in air-conditioned office environment.
