Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record in Biologics CDMO sales. This individual will play a critical role in driving new business, identifying and closing opportunities with biopharma and biotech companies that require rapid, high-quality protein development and manufacturing solutions.


The ideal candidate will bring an existing network of industry contacts and be ready to prospect aggressively, build relationships, and drive revenue growth. They should be comfortable operating in a startup environment, adapting quickly to evolving strategies, and working independently to execute sales initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify, engage, and close new business opportunities within biotech and biopharma companies.
  • Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to drive growth in research-grade antibody production and biomanufacturing services.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and close.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with decision-makers in R&D, process development, and manufacturing teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align client needs with Axio BioPharma’s capabilities and long-term vision.
  • Represent Axio BioPharma at key industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management using CRM tools.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences, business, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in sales or business development within a Biologics CDMO or related biopharma services company.
  • Strong understanding of biologics manufacturing, process development, and antibody production.
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing new business.
  • Existing relationships with biotech and biopharma companies a strong plus.
  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies independently in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
