Based in Northern Virginia, Axiologic Solutions LLC, has an opportunity for you to become part of our high-quality team that delivers innovative solutions to key federal clients. We are currently seeking an Accountant to support our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable vendor maintenance including adding vendors, 1099 information, and required annual vendor reporting.
- Recording of customer payments and other payments in the system.
- Add New hires and Subcontractors in the accounting system. Maintain people details to include any changes to their personnel records.
- Email semi-monthly subcontractor time reports.
- Maintain charge code access to include adding and removing charge code access
- Review timesheets for compliance with timekeeping policies on daily basis. Email employees and subcontractors regarding timely timesheet completion.
- Respond to all timesheet questions and inquiries
- Enter LWOP timesheets
- Adjust PTO accruals as needed
- Terminate employees in the system
- Submit customer invoices as directed
- Assist PCA with month end validations
- Run AR aging and maintain payment status notes
- Timesheet and expense approvals in customer systems
- Enter subcontractor PRs/POs/PO assignments/project assignments
- Year-end audit assistance as needed
- Other duties as assigned to assist in meeting department and company goals and deadlines.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with two years of experience in a government contractor environment preferred. A combination of experience and education (i.e. advanced degree, CPA certification) will be considered.
- Technical experience with spreadsheet programs, general ledgers reports and financial management tools. Experience with Accounting Software such as Unanet preferred. Knowledge of government contracting accounting principles, practices and regulations preferred.
- Strong organizational skills are highly desirable as is experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential matters and information.
- Ability to prioritize work with careful attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and to communicate financial information effectively, both orally and in writing.
