We seek a skilled Project Manager/Estimator for our Everett location.
Summary:
The function of the Service Department Project Manager/Estimator is to effectively coordinate efforts related to projects within the Service Department. This position is heavily involved in all aspects of the Service Department, from inspection of potential work to invoicing of each job. Works closely with the Service Department Manager to ensure customer service, professionalism, quality and communication are always at the forefront.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work closely with Service Department Manager in all aspects of Service Department
· Estimate and coordinate roof repair and maintenance work
· Assist in scheduling workload for Service Department field crews
· Debrief repair/maintenance crews
· Manage Service Department projects, including monitoring labor hours and materials, and communicating with the customer
· Input all estimates and update statuses in FCS tracking software
· Access rooftops via ladders/stairs and provide roof condition reports and assessments
· Prepare formal estimates/proposals, and job-specific quotes as they are relevant to the service department
· Monitor/manage quality control
· Pick-up/deliver materials and tools as necessary
· Cultivate new and existing relationships through business development meetings
· Attend punch-list inspections
· Participating in industry-related associations
· Assist with timely and accurate billings
· Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines. Must be periodically available for 24-hour service calls
· Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for scheduling field employees and monitoring employees’ hours.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's (of Science or Arts) degree from four-year college or university and five years’ experience preferred.
Additional skills and/or prior experience include strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong customer service background, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, the ability to be organized, work responsibly, ability to cultivate new and existing customer relationships, and manage time effectively.
Continuing Education in an approved commercial roofing professional organization is encouraged.
· Working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Working knowledge of estimating software required.
· Driver’s License. No other specific certificates are required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common construction and technical journals, financial reports, legal documents, and blueprints. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, agencies, or the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, the public and/or board of directors
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of three-dimensional construction plans. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The work is typically performed in an office environment with occasional trips to a construction site. The noise level at the office is moderate. On a construction site the employee may be exposed to working near power tools, working in wet/humid (non-weather) conditions, working near moving mechanical parts, and working near fumes. Work may be conducted during outdoor weather conditions such as heat, rain, cold, and snow. Environmental conditions also include risk of electrical shock and vibration.
To perform the job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to set up a ladder to access rooftops. The incumbent will carry materials/equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. The incumbent is required to read and respond to documents in hard copy and electronic form.
