HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT :
Analyze, interpret, and apply federal and state regulations to ensure compliance with CT Department of Labor (CT DOL) and internal policies.Conduct program site visits to monitor contracted providers, interviewing staff and participants to assess adherence to contract requirements.Review and track service provider contracts, prior monitoring reports, and compliance history.Create and manage the annual monitoring schedule to oversee all contracted providers.Draft and issue monitoring notices, reports, and corrective action plans to ensure compliance.Perform file audits of program paper and digital records, ensuring adherence to state and federal workplace regulations.Assist with contracting processes, including contract routing, invoice reviews, and maintaining subrecipient / contractor determination files.Support procurement activities, maintaining documentation, monitoring RFP submissions, and conducting cost analyses.Collaborate with internal program staff and contracted providers to address and resolve compliance issues.ARE YOU A COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST ROCK STAR?
Experience : Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in compliance, contract monitoring, or program auditing.Education : Associates degree or higher in Public Administration, Business, Social Science, Social Work, or a related field.Technical & Analytical Skills :Proficient in interpreting and applying federal and state regulations to workforce programs.Experience with contract management, compliance monitoring, and program reporting.Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).Preferred Qualifications :Experience in the workforce development system.Familiarity with CT Hires and ETO data systems.Knowledge of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), 2 CFR (Super Circular), and Jobs First Employment Services (JFES).Soft Skills :Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.Comfortable traveling frequently within the North Central Connecticut region to monitor compliance at various provider locations.This is an exciting opportunity to ensure workforce development programs meet compliance standards, supporting initiatives that help individuals succeed in their careers.
