The team works closely with state programs to ensure homeownership retention, offering credit counseling, foreclosure prevention workshops, and financial fitness education. Operating in a fast-paced and community-focused environment, the team collaborates with local agencies, financial institutions, and career development centers to provide comprehensive support services. Current initiatives include expanding housing retention programs, career training support, and financial literacy education to assist individuals in stabilizing their financial futures.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT :
Market and promote the State of CT Mortgage Crisis Job Training Program to increase program awareness and community engagement.Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, workforce development agencies, and community partners.Conduct client intake and financial assessments, assisting in the development of credit, debt, and mortgage resolution strategies.Provide career counseling and job readiness training, helping clients advance their careers and gain financial stability.Refer clients to financial fitness education programs, credit counseling services, and foreclosure prevention workshops.Guide individuals through resume development, job search techniques, and interview preparation to support workforce entry.Work with the Connecticut One-Stop system to introduce clients to additional job placement and career support services.Conduct follow-ups with clients at timely intervals, offering continued support and monitoring progress.Collaborate with the One-Stop Coordinator to ensure program performance metrics and compliance standards are met.ARE YOU A MORTGAGE SPECIALIST ROCK STAR?
Experience : Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in housing, mortgage lending, foreclosure prevention, or real estate.Education : Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field.Industry Knowledge :Strong understanding of mortgage processes, banking regulations, and foreclosure prevention programs.Familiarity with workforce development programs, job readiness training, and financial literacy services.Knowledge of government initiatives supporting job placement and housing assistance.Soft Skills & Capabilities :Excellent communication and presentation skills to educate clients and promote program services.Case management experience and the ability to maintain accurate data in client management systems.Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance multiple priorities effectively.Ability to work independently while collaborating with partner organizations.Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territories.Preferred Qualifications :Experience working with the American Job Center System or state-funded workforce development programs.Familiarity with credit counseling, debt management, and financial planning resources.SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS :
