HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Lead process improvement initiatives using lean kaizen events to optimize product quality and efficiency.
- Develop and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Review engineering change notices (ECNs) and engineering drawings to ensure manufacturing alignment with quality requirements.
- Monitor and track calibration of measuring and testing equipment to maintain precision and accuracy.
- Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and internal process audits to ensure adherence to company specifications.
- Analyze production and service limitations, recommending revisions to specifications and processes.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
- Train employees on manufacturing quality assurance, lean manufacturing, and SPC concepts to enhance operational efficiency.
- Participate in corrective action board (CAB) meetings, providing problem-solving support and resolution strategies.
- Apply purchase order quality clauses to applicable products within an MRP system, ensuring compliance with procurement standards.
ARE YOU A QUALITY ENGINEER ROCK STAR?
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Education: BS Degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience in quality systems and process improvement.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of general quality systems and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with MRP systems (preferred).
- Familiarity with quality certification processes (preferred but not required).
- Soft Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring quality compliance and documentation integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
