Axiom is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a Direct Hire position located in Winchester, VA. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for the daily operation and coordination of assigned programs and special projects. The primary role of the Assistant Project Manager is to facilitate the information flow between the internal stakeholders of a project and to present a coordinated response to the customer.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
Keep all stakeholders informed about assigned projects
Facilitate training
Ensure compliance with the SOW and Performance Specifications
Develop and maintain project schedules
Coordinate with internal and external entities to ensure the schedule and budget are adhered to including proper documentation
Keep accurate documented data
Keep the Project Manager and President informed of the status of any current concerns and ongoing projects
Identify opportunities for increased sales margin
Create and maintain consistent documentation to manage and track projects and critical tasks
Requirements for consideration include :
Experience in managing projects from inception to completion
Experience with scheduling projects
Understanding of military operations
General mechanical and analytical thinking
Knowledge of computers : Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Adobe, MS Project, and Outlook
Good written and oral communication
Planning and organization skills
Bachelor's Degree preferred - business administration or engineering
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing projects
Self-motivated, Organized, Detail oriented

Salary : Starting at $65,000 Annually
Environment : In person
Business Hours : Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm (standard)
