Data Network Specialist

We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

Responsibilities:

 Design and implement functional network infrastructure and systems using correct network diagrams

and documentation

 Analyze and confirm the information demands and functional requirements in collaboration with internal

and external customers

 Adopt network security measures after organizing, planning, and safeguarding data, software, and

hardware

 Monitor network performance to identify necessary adjustments and improvements

 Cooperate with technology suppliers to offer business-focused solutions

 Provide technical leadership to teams working on deployment and support

 Ensure the stability of the working environment before, during, and after system updates

 Establish and maintain strong cross-functional working connections with corporate and local teams

 Resolve issues escalated by lower support tiers and provide support for those tiers as needed

 Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network security and efficiency

 Utilize online resources and documentation to gain knowledge about new or unfamiliar technology

 Collaborating with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.

 Installing and configuring networking hardware.

 Creating and implementing network security measures.

 Managing and mentoring junior Network Engineering staff.

 Conducting regular network performance tests.

 Delegating networking maintenance tasks to junior staff.

 Dealing with escalated network support issues.

 Drawing up network status reports.

Basic Qualifications

 College or University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline or

equivalent work experience

 8 years of High Availability, High Security, Internet Data Center Experience and the requisite rigor

needed to operate in that environment

 2 years of public cloud experience preferred but not required

 Experience in with automation and deployment frameworks to deploy network services

 Documentation skills and experience

 Design and deployment experience with most of the following technologies: F5, Palo Alto, Windows

Server, VMWare, SD Wan, Cloudflare ZTNA, Network Virtualization

 Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:

 Strong organization skills and detail-oriented

 Excellent problem solving skills

 Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL

 Project coordination and management experience
