AXIOS Industrial Maintenance is currently hiring for the following position at Dominion Energy – Jenkinsville, SC:
Position: NACE Level 1 Coatings Foreman
The selected candidate will oversee a team of 4-6 members and be responsible for managing all QA/QC reporting to the client.
Position Summary
The NACE Level 1 Coatings Foreman is responsible for supervising and overseeing the application of coatings and surface preparation on various structures and surfaces. This includes ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures. The Foreman will manage a team of coating applicators and surface preparation personnel, providing direction, guidance, and training to ensure the efficient and safe completion of projects. The role requires an individual with a strong understanding of coating materials, techniques, and standards as outlined by NACE and other relevant organizations.
Qualifications:
- Education/Certifications:
- NACE Level 1 Coatings Inspector Certification (or equivalent).
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Additional certifications related to coatings, safety, or management may be beneficial.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial coatings or surface preparation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Experience in managing coating application and surface preparation for infrastructure, industrial, or marine projects.
- Skills & Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of coating systems, surface preparation techniques, and NACE standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to identify and solve technical issues on-site.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, contractors, and clients.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical specifications, blueprints, and safety documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
