What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor position at Axis Global Logistics?
Axis Global Logistics, a leading third-party logistics provider is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for its location in Allentown.
The Warehouse Supervisor will work the 2nd shift. The position Ensures proper receiving, shipping, handling, distribution and storage of all freight, product and supplies that come in and out of warehouse.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage warehouse staff and customer accounts and act as point of contact for customer service related needs
- Strive to maintain accuracy with inventory levels in order to meet internal and external demand of product
- Assist with planning warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage and to achieve full warehouse optimization
- Take into account implications of freight turnover, size, weight and other factors when allocating warehouse space
- Ensure warehouse security, cleanliness and safety standards are adhered to
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse
- Ability to operate equipment including a jack and a forklift
- Ability to communicate thoroughly and professionally
- Ability to be highly organized/detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize duties and function in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use a computer and WMS
