Compensation: $19-$22 per hour. Position includes retirement benefits through Colorado Public Employee Retirement Association (copera.org) as well as option for health benefits.

Position Description:
AXIS is seeking a hard-working, flexible person to support the classroom teachers with implementing instruction and reinforcing learning skills in one-one, small, or large groups, and with daily classroom tasks such as supervision, copies, prepping classroom materials, gathering manipulatives, etc. This position would be working in two different classrooms; one that is a Spanish immersion classroom and one that is an ELA classroom.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher with implementation of instructional plans
- Assist the classroom teacher with facilitating small group or one-one student support; at times providing individualized support to students with varying learning needs.
- Assist the classroom teacher in preparing classroom materials, administering tests, grading, taking attendance, completing paperwork, maintaining files, and/or documenting student progress
- Provide conditions for a positive and caring learning environment
- Follow our behavior protocols and use positive reinforcement to address issues
- Attend work and arrive in a timely manner
- Attend appropriate in-services, building meetings, training, and/or school functions
- Perform any additional duties as assigned, which are consistent with the effective and orderly operation of this position, and the school-wide educational goals
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Associates or equivalent; Bachelors preferred
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with students in a school setting
- Experience at the elementary school level
Salary : $19 - $22
