Job Summary:
The Carrier Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing the various compliance systems utilized by Axle to track and monitor carrier metrics, as well as overseeing Axle’s fraud mitigation efforts. In this role, the Carrier Compliance Specialist will work closely with Axle’s Risk and Claims Teams to manage Axle’s capacity needs in line with compliance goals and assist in carrier incident resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new motor carriers throughout our network
- Investigate and gather motor carrier information from government and third-party sources to validate carrier identity
- Validate insurance and other documentation
- Monitor existing carriers and update information as necessary
- Analyze and verify information provided by motor carrier and obtained from third parties
- Maintain working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations
- Collaborate with 360/Operations regarding motor carrier qualification/disqualification
- Duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time.
Qualifications:
- College Degree is required
- Ability to learn, understand and apply knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and other federal regulations applicable to the transportation industry
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage timed projects and allow flexibility in work detail
