Senior Mechanic and Manager
About Us :
Ace Environmental Holdings provides a full range of environmental services including 24-hour spill response, above and underground tank management, vacuum truck services, hazardous waste transportation and disposal, industrial cleanings, and soil and groundwater remediation. Services rendered in Baltimore, DC, and Mid-Atlantic Regions.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Maintenance and Repairs
Plan, organize, and direct all functions and activities related to the set-up and ongoing servicing of company vehicles.
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for fleet vehicles in a prompt and efficient manner.
Follow and perform preventative maintenance inspections and schedules.
Coordinate fleet repairs with outside vendors when appropriate, and schedule and prepare vehicles for outside service.
Order and maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, and manage relationships with outside vendors.
Management and Training
Monitor, analyze, and manage fleet and maintenance costs to maximize return on investment and help control costs.
Work with Operations Manager to manage down time for vehicles for repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety.
Manage the acquisition, utilization, and disposal of fleet vehicles.
Assist drivers with conforming to all required safety rules and regulations including pre and post trip inspections.
Work with drivers and managers to provide training and best practices to maintain and operate vehicles.
Reporting
Maintain files and records of all services provided and relevant invoices in an orderly manner, including oil changes, tire rotations, milage, tool inventory, and maintenance work orders.
Follow DOT requirements for titles, licenses, and registration for company fleet.
Ensure fleet is DOT compliant, including completion and storage of DVIRs.
Utilize fleet management software to track vehicle performance and maintenance schedules.
General
Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
Provide prompt service when on call.
Maintain clean and safe work environment.
Maintain ACE standards and reputation in the industry.

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
Clean driving record and able to obtain DOT card.
Experience operating light and / or heavy equipment.
