JOB TITLE: Wellbeing Coach
CONTRACT DURATION: TBD
SHIFT: Monday-Friday (9am-5pm)
REPORTING LOCATION: New York, NY 10065
ONBOARDING TIME: Expect 3-5 weeks from offer acceptance to start date.

• Documentation of Covid vaccination or medical/religious exemption.
• Copy of diploma/transcripts for highest level of completed education.
• Three references - two mangers/supervisors and one co-worker you have worked with.

• Upcoming RTO for the next 3-6 months.
• Resume with last five years of work history - all work history gaps of 90 days must be explained.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Wellbeing Coach is responsible for providing onsite one-on-one health coaching to employees and promoting our employee health & wellbeing programming. Leads initiatives that enhance Wellbeing Coaches’ development and effectiveness in accordance with established policies and procedures.

REQUIRED CRITERIA

• Bachelor’s degree – required
• Master’s degree in Health Promotion, Health Communication, Health Education, Psychology, Public Health, Nutrition, Physical Therapy, Nursing, other allied field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Wellbeing Coach

Licensure/Certifications

• National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) – preferred
• Registered dietitian nutritionist, certified diabetes educator, certified personal trainer, physical therapist, occupational therapist, licensed clinical social worker, or registered nurse – preferred
• Master’s degree in Health Promotion, Health Communication, Health Education, Psychology, Public Health, Nutrition, Physical Therapy, Nursing, other allied field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Wellbeing Coach at NYP – required

DETAILS ABOUT THE POSITION

• Assists in the orientation, training and development of Wellbeing Coaches in alignment with established policies and procedures. Makes recommendations to Manager to improve systems and wellbeing coach operations.
• Mentors Wellbeing Coaches and supports them in earning and maintaining the National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) credential through the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching while maintaining or working towards obtaining your own NBC-HWC credential.
• Promotes Wellbeing program at assigned sites and ensure leadership engagement and visibility.
• Coach employees one-to-one to improve lifestyle behaviors (e.g. healthy eating, exercise, stress management, smoking cessation, weight management, sleep hygiene) and quality of life. Provides necessary coaching to reduce or eliminate behaviors that are considered high-risk.
• Help employees set and meet personal goals, provide ongoing support through coaching.
