What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Assistant Principal position at Ayer Shirley Regional High School?
The Ayer Shirley Regional School District is seeking an Assistant Principal with outstanding leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills to assist the high school principal in promoting and advancing the educational development of each student. This position is effective July 1, 2025.
Primary Responsibilities of the Assistant Principal Include:
- Assists the Principal in the administrative duties of the school
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining discipline throughout the student body, and deals with special cases as necessary
- Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance, and works with the main office and other as-needed parties, for further actionable steps
- Assumes responsibility for planning, coordinating, and supervising MCAS. Organizes and manages student data, MCAS analysis, student placement, and additional plans within the school
- Assists with responsibility of teacher evaluations
- Serves as the head administrator in the school in the absence of the Principal
- Supervises staff as designated by the Principal
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Principal may assign
Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
