- Paid, full-time summer internship
- The internship period is June 9, 2024 - August 15, 2024
- Must be based in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate for the duration of the internship period
- Will be required to work in person from the office located in the Domain
- Assist in the origination of project or portfolio acquisition opportunities in targeted markets by analyzing interconnection queues and identifying strategic acquisition targets;
- Learn about development criteria to assist in analyzing attractive opportunities;
- Support preliminary diligence of potential opportunities to identify key risks, flaws, and confirm assumptions through collaboration with internal and external teams;
- Contribute to the development of deal structures for acquisitions and partnerships by aiding in the preparation of term sheets and definitive documents under the guidance of senior staff;
- Help maintain relationships with local and regional developers through regular communication and assistance in coordination efforts;
- Provide support to the Strategic Development team in crafting strategies for entering new markets as needed;
- Monitor competitor activity and assist in the development of competitive intelligence databases;
- Participate in various tasks as needed and other company-related matters.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or industry equivalent and/or working towards a graduate degree (MBA) is desirable;
- A strong interest in renewable energy and the energy sector;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to an entrepreneurial environment;
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tasks efficiently;
- A proactive and enthusiastic mindset with a focus on learning and professional development.
