This 10 session post is primarily based in Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI) and the successful applicant will work alongside another experienced full-time consultant old age psychiatrist in a newly expanded service serving the hospitals of the North of Glasgow. In addition to the acute care provided in GRI, there are satellite hospitals in Lightburn, Stobhill and Gartnavel General (all North of Glasgow City) which are slower stream wards and include geriatric and medical rehabilitation.
The Glasgow City liaison team has a current total of 4 consultant psychiatrists (2.8 WTE), 8 band 6 liaison nurses, 1.5 WTE Psychology and a Nurse Team Lead. There is Admin support for the role.

The successful candidate will take on a clinical leadership role and take part in ongoing service development within the wider Glasgow Older Adult liaison service.
