Position Summary - In need of a seasoned operations leader with experience in leading clinical and operational teams including revenue cycle.
The Director of Operations willbe responsible for overseeing operations and will ensure the application ofconsistent practices relating to clinical / administrative operations, patientand customer service, human resources activities and Arizona Asthma AllergyInstitute standards; collaborate with medical staff to develop and implementnew clinical systems / programs to enhance existing services and raise thestandard of care for the patient population served. Oversee the management ofthe administrative and clinical operations, quality effectiveness, performanceoutcomes and successful delivery of the day-to-day operations. Ensures a safe,high-quality environment for providing healthcare that meets all regulatoryrequirements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
Providing strategic and tacticalleadership that will drive AAAI as a highly effectiveorganization backed by highquality, timely, and accountable operational execution across allAAAI departments and locations.
Building and leading an effective team who consistently deliver high-quality work that fulfillsAAAI's mission, vision, and strategic priorities, while meeting or exceeding performance indicators.
Putting strategic priorities into operation while sustaining high-quality ongoing work.
Plans, directs and evaluates,through subordinate managers, the programs, systems, operations and resourcesof the assigned areas such as front and back office, revenue cycle and vendormanaged services such as information technology.
Managing priority project portfolios (alignment to strategy, budget, resources, returnon investment), includingperformance tracking and reporting.
Providing regular information to the CEO regarding organizational performance, along with strategies and plans to continually improveperformance.
Supporting the CEO in providing strategic leadership to the organization.
Drive strategic priorities into operational successes.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration that maintains compatibility among project staff, subcontractors, consultants, and customers.
Lead AAAI's operational work planningprocess, including budgetdevelopment.
Track and report multipleindicators of organizational performance.
Collaborates with otherleadership / staff in the common goal of standardization, integration andenhancement of the continuum of services available within designated clinicalareas.
Directs the development, implementation and evaluation ofnew / revised standards, policies, procedures, guidelines, training materialsand / or general communications in support of all departments to ensureconsistency.
Directs the development, implementation and evaluation of thepatient experience program ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction,experience and engagement.
Directs the development, implementation and evaluation of value caremodels and successful performance of those participated in.
Determines resources needed to accomplish theperformance objectives of the clinical area(s) and oversees activities andresources in a manner that is fiscally responsible and in accordance with AAAIpolicies and standards.
Plans, directs and evaluates the work of clinicalmanagement staff in accordance with the content, spirit and intent ofapplicable internal / external regulations and standards for human resourcemanagement; ensures adequate staffing levels for appropriate coverage to meetbudgetary and operational objectives; ensures that employees are qualified andproperly trained to perform assigned job duties; holds regular staff meetingsand keeps employees appraised of all matters relevant to successful job performance;makes employment decisions, establishes performance standards and evaluatesemployee performance; educates, guides, counsels and develops staff andaddresses performance management concerns and technical issues elevated bysubordinates as beyond their scope of authority.
Develops, implements, monitors andevaluates systems / initiatives / programs to facilitate performance / qualityimprovements
Ensures full compliance with internal / external legal and regulatorystandards and requirements, and that effective control procedures are in placeand fully functioning to preclude improprieties from occurring; monitors theeffectiveness of current practices in meeting expectations and producingdesired results.
Keeps abreast of changing regulatory requirements / regulation,clinical / professional standards, changing customer demographics and competitiveindustry practices impacting assigned functions, as well as organizationalinitiatives / changes with potential to impact current strategies, programs andresources; determines nature / scope of impact on existing activities anddetermines effective response / solution while maintaining acceptable servicelevels and work quality.
Works collaboratively with Marketing / Communications Dept. todevelop effective marketing strategies and promotional materials for theclinical areas.
Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with primarycustomers of the clinical area(s) including medical directors, physiciangroups, patients, supply vendors and external entities to foster opportunitiesfor revenue enhancement, enhance customer service and to positively impact coreclinical measures.
Enforces safety guidelines and security procedures in compliancewith regulatory standards.
Performs other duties as assigned by CEO.

Education
Bachelor's degree from an accreditedcollege or university required.
Minimum of 10 years professional experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experienceleading an organization's operations / management.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in thehealthcare industry.

OSHA Category 1 : Involves exposure to blood, body fluids, ortissues.
The position is in a well-litoffice environment. Occasional eveningand weekend work. Involves sitting approximately 80 percent of the day,walking, or standing the remainder. Equipmentoperated will be standard office equipment including computers, fax machines,copiers, printers, telephones, etc . Ability to travel between clinic locations.
