Our high profile client is looking for an experienced General Manager of one of the Valley's prominent and expanding comedy clubs. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the club's operations, ensuring it runs efficiently, profitably, and delivers an exceptional experience to patrons, performers, and staff. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, staff supervision, financial oversight, marketing initiatives, and event coordination while maintaining a positive, vibrant, and professional atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Oversee daily operations, including scheduling performances, opening / closing procedures, and ensuring smooth transitions between shows.
Manage inventory for food, beverages, and other supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Maintain the club's ambiance, cleanliness, and functionality, working with maintenance teams as needed.
Staff Management
This position has two direct reports : Restaurant Manager and Comedy Club Manager.
Work with managers to recruit, train, and manage a team of bartenders, servers, hosts, and technical staff.
Work with managers to create work schedules to ensure optimal staffing levels during events.
Foster a positive work environment and encourage excellent customer service.
Address staff concerns and mediate conflicts professionally.
Marketing & Community Engagement
Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns across social media, email, and other channels.
Work on initiatives to increase audience attendance and drive repeat business.
Build partnerships with local businesses, sponsors, and community organizations.
Customer Experience
Working with management team, ensure high-quality customer experiences by addressing complaints and resolving issues promptly.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve offerings and services.
Required Qualifications
3 years of proven experience in a management role, preferably in the entertainment, hospitality, or food / beverage industry.
Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of event planning, talent booking, and marketing strategies.
Financial acumen, including budgeting, sales analysis, and cost control.
Familiarity with audio / visual equipment and comedy club operations is a plus.
