Dispatcher/Office Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Manager to oversee our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the dispatch team, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods, and maintaining optimal communication with all stakeholders. This role requires a strong understanding of transportation management systems, fleet management, and excellent phone etiquette.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the dispatch team to ensure effective operations.
• Utilize Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine for efficient routing and scheduling.
• Manage fleet operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintenance schedules.
• Oversee data entry processes related to dispatching and logistics activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimize service delivery.
• Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in dispatching efficiency.
• Provide training and support to team members on best practices in dispatching and transportation management.
• Ensure clear communication with drivers, customers, and other departments regarding shipment status.

Experience

• Proven experience in dispatching or transportation management is essential.
• Familiarity with logistics software such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine is preferred.
• Experience in fleet management practices is a plus.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
