Qualifications

• Experience as an Intake Coordinator
• Demonstrates good communications, negotiation, and public relations skills
• Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities
• Home health: Experience Required
• Medical terminology: Experience Required
• Computer skills: Experience Required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing all aspects of the patient intake process including establishing and maintaining positive relationships with patients and referral sources, responding to patients requests and concerns, and maintaining relationships with marketing and clinical staff.
• ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES*
• Directs all daily patient referral and intake operations
• Sending for insurance verification and utilizes the authorization process
• Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources
• Gathers, collates, and reports referral statistics including key customer referral trends
• Coordination of patient care

Intake Coordinator

• JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY*

Responsible for the patient intake process including establishing and maintaining positive relationships with patients and referral sources, responding to patients requests and concerns, and following the insurance verification and authorization processes.

• ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES*

-Directs all daily patient referral and intake operations including providing direct oversight of the establishment and implementation of intake policies.

- Utilizes the insurance authorization process.

- Follows procedures to ensure patients are admitted in accordance with policy.

- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

-High school diploma, and some college preferred.

-Experience a Intake Coordinator

-Demonstrates good communications, negotiation, and public relations skills.

-Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
