Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with various behavioral challenges, including autism and PTSD, providing support and implementing behavior management strategies. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed professional.
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Monitor and document client progress, behavior changes, and any incidents that occur during sessions.
- Assist in the administration of medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to enhance client care.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to improve skills related to special education and working with individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
- Experience or education in patient care, social work, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and behavior management strategies is essential.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with autism, PTSD care, and other special needs populations is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
