Application Architect

AZAD Technology Partners is seeking a Application Architect for a full-time, W2 Contract position based in Chicago, Illinois. The position is hybrid (on-site / remote). The initial assignment length is 12 months. Compensation is $55 hourly. Position Summary : The client is seeking an Application Architect for a Global Regulatory system reporting project using on premise vended products from Adenza (Axiom SL). The scope includes regulatory reporting requirements in APAC, EMEA and NA regions.  The Candidate will work on the following initiatives and will perform Testing tasks such as : Must have the ability to review project related documents such as BRD, FSD and understand the design and solutions architecture with minimal guidance.Hands on development of ETL jobs, Shell scripting and delivering the functionality details in technical specifications.Development and review of PL SQL & other DB code to support date sourcing into Axiom.Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and departments standardsPreparation and execution of detailed unit test cases.Creation of Data Sources, Data Models, Shorthand's, Portfolios, Aggregations, Fee Form and Tabular Report and workflows using AXIOM controller view tool based on Regulatory report requirements.Migration of Axiom components from one environment to another.Understanding the Functional documents and work with BA / Users to develop the reports.Participating in series of development activities across various projects in Axiom space.Participating in BAU support activities such as patch updates  /  enhancements to support regular filings.The ideal candidate will possess the minimum qualifications : Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience as a developer in IT Industry.Minimum 3 years of hard core hands on development experience with Axiom controller view.Knowledge & hands on expertise on various regulatory & risk reporting modules in Axiom such as (Prime reports, CCAR, SCCL, FR2052a).Must have the ability to create Axiom objects such As Data Sources, Data Models, Shorthand's, Portfolios, Aggregations along with other data mapping activities.Must have prior experience in mapping and configuring free form reports, tabular reports and automation of Axiom workflows.Prior experience on configuring APAC taxonomy reports (Singapore, Australia) and EMEA regulatory reporting initiatives is a must.Prior experience and knowledge on US regulatory reports FFIEC031, FFIEC041, FFIEC009.Must have prior performance tuning experience both inside the Axiom controller view as well as at the DB level.Familiarity & hands on experience with financial & reporting data.Good experience in Regulatory Reporting and Data Warehousing.Proven analytical skills & problem solving capabilities.Good communication skills (verbal & written).Ability to work closely with business partners & technology teams and having the ability to provide walkthroughs.About us : AZAD is looking for bright, talented, flexible, and customer centric problem solvers who enjoy the challenges associated with solving the most complex problems by utilizing the most sophisticated technologies and strong people skills.
