What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Med Tech position at Azalea Health Center by Harborview?
Duties:
- Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from patients
- Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing
- Enter patient information and test orders into the electronic medical record system (Cerner, Epic, etc.)
- Maintain accurate and organized records of patient information and test results
- Follow established protocols and safety guidelines to ensure proper handling of specimens
- Assist with other clinical tasks as needed in a medical office or acute care setting
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Technician or similar role preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner, Epic, or other electronic medical record systems is a plus
- Knowledge of phlebotomy techniques and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and documenting patient information
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
