Duties
- Develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures in accordance with public health guidelines.
- Conduct surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to educate them on infection prevention practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate medical records related to infection control activities and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable standards related to infection control.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and reducing infection rates.
- Provide training sessions for new staff on infection prevention protocols and best practices.
