Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, understanding of NFPA70e rules and a solid mechanical background are essential for this role.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot, repair or replace electrical components including motors of all sizes and voltages (24V-480VAC).
- Mechanical and Pneumatic Components: Troubleshoot, repair or replace various mechanical and pneumatic components.
- Inventory Management: Report all parts used, look up parts needed and communicate these needs through daily logs or purchase requests.
- Collaboration: Engage in daily interactions with coworkers addressing their concerns and problems in a timely and professional manner.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and problem solve tasks and solutions to be recorded in the daily log.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with teams to solve problems or develop more efficient methodologies for assigned tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven Track Record: A proven track record through education, licensing or work experience is mandatory.
- Theoretical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic theory is essential.
- Blueprint and Schematic Reading: Skilled at blueprint and electrical schematic reading and sketching.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Welding and Fabrication: Proficient in welding and fabrication without prints.
- Tig Welding: Experienced in Tig welding aluminum.
- Light Machining: Skilled in light machining.
Education and/or Experience:
- Certification: Associate Degree; current Journeyman Electrical License; or 5 years hands-on maintenance technician experience including electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment, woodworking preferred.
- Valid Driving License: Valid State of Maine Driving License is required.
