This position can be based at our corporate headquarters in Chicago’s West Fulton Market District, as well as at our Wilmington, OH and Scranton, PA manufacturing complexes with a hybrid work schedule. The expectation is that this position would be primarily in-office at least 3-4 days per week.
Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced Product Manager that has an affinity for building products and understands the mindset of dealers, DIY/contractors and homeowners.
The Director of Product Management is responsible for the execution of our 3-5 year product and market strategy including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining and executing the Product Roadmap and working closely with R&D, Manufacturing/Operations, Sales and Marketing to ensure revenue and margin goals are met. The Director of Product Management's job also includes ensuring products supports the company's overall strategy and goals. The incumbent will display a commitment to Core Values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Participates in the development of the 3 - 5 year Product Strategy and Product Roadmap and is directly responsible for its execution. This includes customer, competitive and market research, strategic and financial analysis, product development (from concept, product definition/features/benefits, financials/pricing, SKU set-up, etc.) and leading annual new product launch execution and management of product rationalization.
- Direct supervisory responsibility for Product Managers and/or Associate Product Managers in the category including recruiting, training, development and motivation.
- Acts as subject matter expert for the product category, including product performance, installation and applications, code-related matters and competitive SWOT analysis.
- Actively participates in product Sourcing and Supply Chain management activities.
- Trains and supports the sales and customer service teams for the product category, including product technical support and troubleshooting.
- Identifies opportunities and resolves issues, including technical, quality and product-related support for internal and external customers.
- Conducts on-going product and business analysis and reporting to ensure we have an in-depth understanding of the business, profitability and product performance.
- Support the preparation and delivery of Monthly and Annual Business Reviews and the annual budgeting process. Actively supports the SIOP process including demand forecasting.
- Performs product demonstrations/presentations to customers, including trade shows and field visits.
- Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by management.
Position Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline is required; MBA desired
Experience: 8 to 10 years of experience in product management, manufacturing operations or a closely related leadership position in the management of tangible products in a manufacturing organization is required.
Experience managing a P&L would be considered plus.
Skills: Strong project management skills, cross-functional coordination and communication, financial/analytical acumen, strategic and execution mindset
Travel: Ability to travel up to 40% annually.
Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The annual salary for this role is $180,000 to $195,000. In addition to base salary, we offer generous bonus and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
