This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Chicago’s West Fulton Market District with a hybrid work schedule.
Position Summary: AZEK is seeking a Salesforce Solutions Architect to further the adoption and impact of the Salesforce platform. In this role, you will be responsible for strategy, development, implementation, and management of the various tenants in a way that expands the utilization of the toolset while supporting the company customer objectives. You will be expected to collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to design enhancements and facilitate the implementation through partners and your own skills. This role sits in the IT organization reporting to the Senior Director, Enterprise Applications.
Your primary duties and responsibilities will be:
· Define a clear vision and long-term strategy for the Salesforce platform investment that supports future growth, mergers, acquisitions and scalability across each of our divisions and business units.
· Develop a comprehensive understanding of our business requirements and objectives and maintain a multi-year roadmap to align them with Salesforce platform capabilities
· Stay up to date on current and emerging Salesforce innovations (e.g. AI, Flow, Data, Automation) and assessing their applicability to AZEK including cost/benefit analysis.
· Partner and establish periodic review cycles with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of the strategy within the capabilities of our corporate technology platforms.
· Provide expert guidance and recommendations on technical architecture, design, security, and implementation of Salesforce solutions, with specific adherence to Salesforce’s Well-Architected Framework.
· Design scalable and efficient solutions that leverage the full capabilities of the Salesforce platform.
· Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts focused on high-impact use cases and quick wins to demonstrate the value of Salesforce solutions.
· Drive user adoption by communicating, coordinating and overseeing training activities.
· Apply various software development methodologies (ex: Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) to clearly define standard processes for how our solutions will be developed, tested, deployed, and supported.
· Establish and maintain IT General Controls within the platform by designing and executing security, change, and operations procedures and related control activity that follow our published policies and procedures.
· Design and deploy a least privileged security model to all Salesforce users.
· Define standard sandbox management policies for automating and maintaining non-production environments, including object, user, data, and security refresh cycles.
· Ensure Salesforce solutions meet corporate security and policy standards and data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA where applicable.
· Act as a release manager, approving configuration and coded items to be deployed between development and production environments within our IT General Controls framework. Where appropriate, this could include deploying changes.
· Contribute to the department’s financial responsibilities by providing timely input to the annual budget and forecasts and managing license compliance with vendors.
· Identify, evaluate, and manage third party vendor relationships that provide us the needed skillsets and speed to advance our use of the platform and execute against the roadmap priorities.
· Analyze performance metrics, license usage and data to monitor the success of the strategy and make necessary adjustments as needed.
· Lead and mentor business analyst and development teams, providing technical oversight, user story guidance, code reviews, and expertise to ensure best practices and quality standards are met.
· Provide guidance and clear direction to the team members involved in Sales, Service, Experience, and Marketing Clouds as well as related platform integrations.
We believe the successful candidate will have:
· At least 5-years of hands-on Salesforce.com experience
· At least 4 years of development experience with APEX, VisualForce, and Salesforce
· At least 2 Salesforce certifications demonstrating progressive knowledge and commitment to the platform. Specifically, Administrator, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Development certificates.
· Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology discipline. As with all positions at AZEK, a satisfactory combination of education and professional experience will be considered.
· Familiarity with Building Products, Manufacturing and multi-step distribution business models.
· Depth in understanding consumer journeys
· Demonstrated experience in systems design and integration using tools such as Azure Apps, Mulesoft, Boomi, and similar.
· Passion for good IT development practices
· Significant experience leading Incident response requiring escalation up to and including Board of Directors.
· Strong leadership skills with team player attributes
· Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with competing and changing priorities.
