Job Summary
The role involves implementing employee schedules, ensuring adequate supervision, and maintaining service quality through proper staffing ratios. This includes oversight of residential direct-support employees and providing administrative guidance as needed. This role works Sunday - Thursday. Key responsibilities include:
Employee Scheduling and Coverage:
- Create and maintain schedules for direct-support employees to ensure proper supervision and compliance with staffing ratios in residential and vocational programs.
- Coordinate coverage for employee leave, vacant positions, and required training to maintain uninterrupted services.
Orientation and Training:
- Ensure all scheduled employees, including fill-ins, are oriented to AZTEC facilities, residents, and procedures before starting work.
Oversight and Monitoring:
- Track and reduce overtime by monitoring usage and implementing cost-effective measures.
- Maintain real-time knowledge of the location of on-duty staff, individuals receiving services, and AZTEC vehicles.
- Conduct regular visits to residential settings to address concerns, provide guidance, and document visits via Kronos.
Quality and Compliance:
- Stay updated on all residential settings and residents to ensure services align with AZTEC standards.
- Step in as an instructor when necessary to maintain required staff-to-client ratios.
- Ensure all AZTEC policies, personnel procedures, job descriptions, and DES-DDD Licensing Rules are followed, addressing violations professionally and promptly.
Transportation Coordination:
- Arrange or provide transportation for residents to medical facilities, recreational activities, and day programs.
- Communicate driving needs during shift changes and ensure timely pick-up/drop-offs.
Shift Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily attendance calls to all homes during your shift to confirm staff presence and compliance with assigned ratios.
Other Duties:

Qualifications:
- Must be able to possess and maintain a Level-One Fingerprint Card.
- Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in operating basic office equipment, i.e., copy machine, fax machine, telephone, calculator.
- Ability to relate and respond effectively in a professional manner.
- Ability to follow-up on required data in a timely manner.
Physical:
- Must be able to lift-up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, sit and stand for extended periods of time.
Driving: May be required to drive AZTEC vehicles. When applicable, must do so in a safe and careful manner, following all Arizona Department of Transportation laws, as well as applicable AZTEC . Maintain an Arizona Class D driver license and satisfactory driving record. Notify Human Resources Department of any infractions/suspension affecting driver license.
