ABOUT THE ROLE
Red Cliffs Lodge is seeking a dynamic and driven **Group Sales Manager** to focus on securing **corporate incentive retreats, executive meetings, and tour groups** while driving new business opportunities. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, a passion for developing meaningful client relationships, and a love for selling an experience unlike any other.

Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development – Proactively source, prospect, and secure corporate groups, incentive retreats, and tour groups looking for a uniquely immersive experience.
- Sales & Revenue Growth – Meet and exceed revenue targets by driving group bookings, ensuring alignment with property and Azul Hospitality Group objectives.
- Client Relationship Management – Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate planners, travel agents, and tour operators to position Red Cliffs Lodge as their premier retreat venue.
- Proposal & Contract Negotiation – Develop compelling proposals and negotiate contracts that meet client needs while maximizing lodge revenue.
- Collaboration & Communication – Work closely with the onsite operations team to ensure seamless group experiences, from planning through execution.
- Marriott & Azul Hospitality Culture – Leverage preferred partnerships within the Marriott brand to attract corporate and incentive group business, while embodying Azul’s high-touch, service-focused approach.
- Market Awareness & Strategy – Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor analysis, and evolving group travel dynamics to position Red Cliffs Lodge as a top-tier destination.
- Other tasks assigned by the direct manager or general manager.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- 2 years of hotel sales experience (preferably in group or corporate sales).
- Previous Marriott experience preferred.
- Strong new business development skills and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
- Experience selling to corporate, incentive, and tour groups.
- A passion for hospitality and adventure, with the ability to bring Red Cliffs Lodge’s story to life for clients.
- Ability to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and networking events as needed.
- Highly organized with strong communication and negotiation skills.

EDUCATION
- High school or equivalent education required.
- Bachelors degree and/or equivalent level of education.
LIENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
Ability to provide and maintain a valid drivers license as the position may require the operation of motorized and electric vehicles.
GROOMING
All Staff Members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Azul Hospitality standards. Refer to the property specific required grooming and uniform standards policy.
ATTENDANCE
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Azul Hospitality, from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Staff with irregular attendance / tardiness will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Upon employment, all staff is required to fully comply with Azul Hospitality rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotels facilities. Staff members who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, staff members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
