Role Overview
Azura Genomics is looking for a F/T Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. The BDR will introduce Azura Genomics products to potential customers through direct personal interaction in research laboratories, and via trade-shows, email, LinkedIn and telephone.
Primary Activity
The role of the BDR is to create, identify and follow-up on customer leads and to establish new business.
Responsibilities
· Identify new opportunities for Azura within Universities, Medical Schools, and Biotechs in New England through sales calls, consistent outreach for meetings and building a network of new customers.
· Communicate and proactively promote our product portfolio to potential customers by visiting accounts, knocking on doors, email and cold-calling.
· Build a network of contacts, identify their needs and introduce new products and technologies.
· Follow market trends, including competitor products and new technologies.
· Research potential new accounts and identify appropriate contacts.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Science, Business or Communications; Molecular Biology Degree or lab experience a plus
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Self-motivated, well organized and independent
· Energetic, outgoing and friendly demeanor
· Tenacity to handle rejection and continue with positive attitude when reaching next customer
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM experience preferred.
· Direct sales, customer service or sales support experience a plus
· Experience and understanding of PCR and molecular biology a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
