Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals.
- Manage and oversee procurement process ensuring timely and cost effective sourcing of materials.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, domestic and international.
- Negotiate contracts and agreement to secure most advantageous terms and conditions.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor industry trends, market influences and supplier performance to inform purchasing decisions and strategies and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future material requirements to avoid production delays.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years direct experience in purchasing, negotiating.
- Proven track record of negotiating successful contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions regarding purchasing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
