Job Overview
Growing local business is seeking a well organized and motivated individual to help better serve our customers from our front desk. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to other team members as well as our customers both in person and over the phone. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have a background in customer service and the ability to be a problem-solver. The position is essential to our daily operations and providing a positive experience for our customers.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Greet customers and guests when they enter the office and provide a welcoming environment.
- Answer the phones. Ensure each caller is directed to speak with the correct person or help them yourself, if able.
- Assist customers who come in to purchase any of the stock items we carry or need to pick up an order they placed. Check online stores for orders and fulfill from retail stock. Maintain Inventory of retail stock for replenishment.
- Utilize our Order Management System to stay up to date on which orders are being completed and when. Generate reports as requested.
- Assist with the ordering of uniform names/numbers and handle vendor returns as needed.
- Manage online stores once created. Keep clients updated about store sales. This includes how many orders have been placed, reminding them about closing dates and providing the quantities ordered for items that have minimum requirements. Close stores, which includes printing orders, shipping labels and preparing spreadsheet files and packing slip.
- Provide a double check of invoices and packing slips to ensure accuracy of billing.
- Calculate decorating costs when orders are completed and update Order Management system.
- Match invoices and reconcile monthly credit card statement, following up with suppliers as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to streamline office tasks and complete orders as needed.
- Help with order entry for repeat customers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experienced in greeting customers operating a front desk.
- Strong computer skills and experience Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and be comfortable taking the initative.
- Ability to answer phones cordially and assist customers calmly.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and keep them prioritized.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
