B Floral is seeking a motivated self-starter with excellent organization and client service skills to join our team as an Event Design Manager. The successful candidate will have proven abilities to understand and communicate client needs, manage multiple priorities, create thorough and accurate proposals, and work both independently and as part of a team.
Previous event planning, event production or floral experience in a client facing role is required.
Position Overview:
As an Event Design Manager you will be the lead on client communication for project requests assigned to you by Senior Management. You will be responsible for understanding the individual needs of each client event and effectively communicating and collaborating with our design department to deliver one of a kind proposals and mood boards. You will provide outstanding customer service and play an integral role in organizing the design of memorable events that exceed quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients to define project needs and creative objectives
- Communicate the client’s needs to the Design Team and collaborate to bring their ideas to life
- Develop pricing proposals and corresponding mood boards to effectively present ideas to clients
- Apply a consultative approach and negotiation skills to win creative bids leading to the growth of the company
- Attend site visits with clients to review event locations when needed
- Process paperwork, invoices and payments
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams to plan day-of event logistics
- Foster client relationships during event set ups and deliveries by providing the highest level of friendly, professional service
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in our CRM database
- All other duties as assigned by Senior Management
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
- 2 - 4 years of experience in event coordination, production or floral design
- Prior experience in a client facing role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator not required, but is a plus!
- Adaptable and coachable
- Meticulous eye for detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong, proactive work ethic with a high standard for producing results
- Ability to work some nights and weekends as needed
