Job Summary:
Reporting directly to our President, the HR Generalist will administer the benefits, compensation, and retirement programs for our team members in the United States. This role will oversee the daily functions at B&L payroll, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short and long-term disability, as well as 401(k) benefits. The HR Generalist will manage employee relations, support cultural engagement, and provide day-to-day enforcement of company policies and procedures.
As HR Generalist at B&L, key responsibilities include the following:
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist in Talent search efforts, including job postings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
- Coordinate onboarding processing, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and training.
- Ensure seamless integration for new employees into the organization
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as a point of contact for employees’ concerns and provide guidance on workplace issues.
- Support conflict resolution and mediate disputes when necessary.
Compensation & Benefits
- Assist in benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and answering employee queries.
- Work with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Stay current on compensation trends, to maintain a competitive benefits package.
Compliance & Policy Implementation
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Maintain and update employee records and all HR documentation.
- Support audits and prepare the necessary documentation.
Performance Management & Training
- Support employees and performance review process and provide training on best practices.
- Assist in identifying training and professional growth opportunities.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Human Resources Administration & Reporting
- Maintain an HR database and prepare reports on HR Metrics.
Required Skills and Experience
- Professional is Human Resources Certification.
- 3 years of experience in human resources, people operations, or customer service.
- 2 years of experience authoring employee and/or customer-facing communications.
- 2 years of experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail with good organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint and basic Excel functions (sum, avg., formatting charts, pivot tables).
- Demonstrates Teamwork, Continuous Improvement, Humility, Integrity.
Compensation
- $70,000 - $80,000 base salary
- This is a bonus eligible position.
- Candidates can expect salary offers that range from the minimum to the midpoint of the salary range.
- B&L provides full pay range so candidates can consider their growth potential.

Additional Details
- This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days per week at our Bridgman office and allows 2 days per week, work from home.
- This role requires the candidate to have the authority to work in and be located in the US.
