About The Role

As a Senior Buyer, you will play a critical role in sourcing vendors, negotiating pricing and contracts, managing procurement processes, and ensuring quality control across materials and manufacturing. You will be responsible for inventory management, purchase order processing, and strategic supplier partnerships that enhance operational efficiency and cost savings. This position requires strong procurement expertise, vendor management experience, and the ability to collaborate across departments, including Sales, Project Management, Design, and Accounting.

You are a highly organized and detail-oriented procurement professional with a strong background in sourcing, negotiation, and inventory management. You have experience working with manufacturing materials such as wood, metal, acrylic, thermal forming, and HPL and are comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Your ability to build and maintain vendor relationships while driving cost efficiencies and quality control makes you a key asset to the team.

What You Will Be Doing

Vendor Sourcing & Management

• Identify and source new vendors to expand capabilities and enhance cost savings.
• Establish strong supplier relationships that encourage innovation, accountability, and competitive pricing.
• Negotiate cost reductions, payment terms, and contract conditions to optimize procurement processes.

Quoting & Pricing Analysis

• Determine the best-suited vendor based on pricing, manufacturing capabilities, quality, lead times, reliability, and service levels.
• Prepare and submit quote specifications, providing necessary drawings and technical details.
• Complete buyer’s sheets for project take-offs and analyze pricing trends for cost optimization.

Purchase Order & Inventory Management

• Generate purchase orders for both approved sales requisitions and stock inventory needs.
• Work closely with the Distribution Center for quality control and inspection of materials.
• Prepare bid specifications, issue bid requests, and review vendor quotations for selection.
• Partner with Project Management, Sales, Design, and Accounting teams to facilitate procurement and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all purchasing transactions and pricing analysis.

General Procurement Support

• Monitor inventory levels, ensuring efficient stock management to avoid shortages or excess.
• Provide ongoing reporting on supplier performance, pricing changes, and procurement trends.
• Assist in continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize procurement workflows.
• Other department tasks as assigned by leadership.

Job Requirements

Example Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or adjacent industry.
• Strong background in vendor negotiations, cost analysis, and procurement best practices.
• Experience sourcing wood, metal, acrylic, thermal forming, and HPL materials is a plus.
• ERP system experience, preferably in NetSuite or a similar procurement system.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, reasoning, and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in Mandarin and/or Spanish is a plus.
