Overview
B’nai Or of Boston, a Jewish renewal community, is looking for a part-time job Administrator for 15 hours a week. Annual salary is $16,000-18,000 depending upon experience. This job is mostly virtual but will require some in-person meetings in the Waltham, MA area. Candidate must be able to attend meetings/events in person.
We are looking to fill that position and administrative position at B’nai Or of Boston, We are a small, well-established, grassroots, egalitarian Jewish renewal community that is orienting towards growth and future potential. The administrator role is key to these efforts, in supporting the groundwork of the community and maintaining our website, which is our outward face to the world.
Responsibilities
- Maintain membership lists
- Respond to emails
- Attend monthly meetings (via zoom). Take minutes and distribute as necessary.
- Assist in organizing events
- Maintain up-to-date calendar
- Maintain budget
- Oversee website
- administrative tasks as needed by the spiritual leader, the steering committee, and the community
- Utilize QuickBooks for basic financial tracking and reporting as needed.
Experience
- Experience in an administrative role,
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is advantageous.
- Website management (WIX)
- Ability to work independently
